Frequently Asked Questions
Does the SC-2440 require calibration?
No. The SC-2440 ships as a self-contained, fixed-gain sensor that requires no calibration and is available from stock for immediate delivery.
How does the built-in temperature sensor help?
The sensor temperature is continuously monitored and output as 0.5-1.2 VDC across 0-70°C. A microprocessor or PLC can read that value to actively correct the displacement output as temperature changes.
Is the SC-2440 suitable for wet or harsh environments?
Yes. It is housed in a compact, rugged IP-67 submersible enclosure and includes reverse-polarity and short-circuit protection.
